Pictures? I think not. Real identities may be hidden on the site and generally are. So the precedent is unwise.
The picture links to activites, worksheets etc are good but the colours look a little dull. Constable made his paintings sparkle by adding highlights. So I'm not suggesting that each picture should be like baby toys in Mothercare, just a little extra. eg That girl could have a bright yellow top. The numbers in the balance could be bright white with black lettering.
