Hello,

I'm wondering if anyone has any knowledge of methods to statistically solve a multivariate equation? For example, if I have:

2x + 3y = 15

and I know that x and y are real numbers, and I have both x and y's mean and standard deviation, is there a method to determine the most likely solution to this equation?

I appreciate any help.
