Yeah, well I think they are one and the same, but I was talking about my program in BASIC.
Hey is 1001 prime, I just did loops with multipliers of 2, 3, 4, 5 and still no good...
My book is upstairs.

I just noticed that the non-primes don't have the minus one in the equation, just a fraction of the non-prime.  Weird.
But the whole multiplying thing brings you visually to the next dimension higher at each multiplying, whatever that adds to it.
But its complicated.

#528 Re: Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity » weight lifting miracle today » 2012-01-24 11:14:04

Yes, I've noticed that in 10's of examples so far.   Only the primes will repeat to prime -1 in length.
The other numbers seem to repeat sooner, an integral fraction I think of the nonprime number of interest.

Okay just wanted to see the numbers better so I numbered them.
2^3 = 8
2^103 ends in 008
2^203 ends in 008
2^303 ends in 008
...
2^1003 ends in 008
All the 99 other numbers keep repeating in a specific order, since you are just doubling the last 3 digits.

Hmmm... let me revisit that program for a second or two...

#531 Re: Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity » weight lifting miracle today » 2012-01-24 11:00:01

I did a loop of the last 3 digits of powers of 2 with my power residue program, I used the non-prime # of 1000 for the "mod" amount.   It looped around after it hit 504 I think and then went 008, yeah that makes sense, and the loop after that is always 100 long, curiously.  But 1, 2, and 4 never occur in the form of 001, 002, or 004.  Because the 504 jumps to 008 and then 016, 032, etc...  Then I found a webpage dedicated to the powers of 2, and it verified what I had found out with my program.  That was worthwhile.

interesting also is that our pc had a spreadsheet on it that we did not purchase I found, that looked like it was installed on it a few months before we bought the PC from Circuit City.

Yes, utopia~1.wav and has a date of 7/21/2001 on it, though the computer was purchased in 2004.

#534 Re: Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity » weight lifting miracle today » 2012-01-24 10:16:06

Well I found it on my computer and I don't know if it came with some update download or what or if Circuit City put it there before we got the PC.

Well I found a neat UFO sound with kids laughing at the end and I use that when you plug or unplug your printer or memory stick into the USB port.  And I use a different clang than usual for most of the dings and startup songs and logoff tunes, the clang is short and sweet.

I changed a lot of sounds that Windows makes like starting up and shutting down and popup message balloon sound and stuff to other wave files.  That was fun!  It's in Windows\Media.

Seven point four years here It says. Amazing how time flies.  I wonder what I'll be doing this time 1017 lifetimes from now?

Merci beaucoup bobby.  It feels like deja vu!

#541 Re: Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity » weight lifting miracle today » 2012-01-23 16:24:52

Definitely.  Very visual.   I should beef up on it.  But for now, aloha, it's getting late in New England.

I'm gonna hit the sack for the night.  Bon soir ou bonne soirree, cependant si vous rester awake or go to sleep.

I think I will start messing with a lot of those formulas in my free time to see what I see.  There's a bunch of interesting stuff in there.  I've always been partial to trig, but only got half a year of it in high school, and the other half year was analysis or pre-calc.

#544 Re: Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity » weight lifting miracle today » 2012-01-23 16:11:11

Yeah, I think it is great.  I'll look it over another time...

#545 Re: Introductions » Winter Lover » 2012-01-23 16:07:41

Eh bien, je crois que je voudrais ecrire quelque chose ici depuis cela a ete un longtemps.
I think I should have conjugated "ecrire" somehow above, but I don't know how.
If anyone finds a great conjugating francais livre avec plusier d'examples, please let me know its title.
My main langue est anglais, mais I attempt to speak le francais maintenant et then to prepare for a fun visit to Quebec again someday soon hopefully within the prochaine year or so.

Totally awesome, bobby!!  You are a great optimizer!!

Hi Omar, I've never played doTa by Valve, and doTa 2 is coming out soon?  Do you have it yet?  How much RAM memory is required to play it?  And does it run on different platforms?  Also, what are the 3 most popular languages spoken where you live?  Just curious.  And is the USA still in anyway affecting your laws, taxes or anything anymore?

#548 Re: Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity » weight lifting miracle today » 2012-01-23 15:45:07

Yes, I would erase anything that is not quality formulas.

#549 Re: Dark Discussions at Cafe Infinity » weight lifting miracle today » 2012-01-23 15:42:52

Sometime in the next millenium do you think someone might delete the incorrect formula, the last trig formula in post # 2, as I have noted in post # 19 and #20?  (See formulas - Trigonometry formulas down near the bottom)  No rush on this, but maybe someday.

#550 Re: Euler Avenue » Which Moves: the Decimal Point, or the Number? » 2012-01-23 15:39:20

If you look thru a red password games red plastic see-thru filter at the same time, you might see even less, or perhaps depending on the thinness of the cellophane, it might actually act as a pass-filter.  Assume the cellophane is only 4 molecules thick and red in color.  It appears red when placed on a sheet of white paper.   But this non-opaque planar object not only reflects, but it refracts and lets light straight thru too.  The whole color filter thing is very curious, and not well explained to me, because how do you know just because you can see something thru it, that it is a filter?  You can presume it is a filter, and then go from there, but what if it is something else, and we are making assumptions about what it does before we even know if the colors we see are a wave or a particle or both at the same time?  Anyway, I like to move the number left and right instead of the decimal today, since it seems so cool!!
