You know how when you go to the user list you see all these novices with 0 posts? Aren't they clogging up the server? Wasn't it annoying when you tried to register with a username, but it was taken by someone with 0 posts? Why not delete not-so-new accounts with 0 posts? That way:
•More usernames will be available.
•The server will be less clogged and will run faster.
•You'll be able to look at the user list and find the users you know without searching.
Is it possible to program that?
I'll be here at least once every month. XP

Yes, good idea, but would also need to be careful not to delete someone who visits sometimes but has never posted.

If they visit but do not post, they don’t need to register as a member and so their username can be deleted anyway. Use common sense.

well... on some free forum X, even if i don't post, i'd register myself so that i can easily point out the new posts from the old already visited ones every time i log in!
that's like ordering Chicken and getting Free Beer to go with!!

let us say that the server has three (or more) Lookup Tables
1. Users visiting several times Daily.
2. Users visiting <15 times a week.
3. Users visiting <30 times a Month.
this way, the Queries can be Served quite fast for the Members visiting Frequently and the Less Frequent users won't effect the performance!!
there can be other methods to reduce load....

Yeah! Delete ALL members ... but will it be faster if there is no one there?
By the way, the table lookups are really fast. The speed is more to do with actually transmitting the data to you.

2)Low visit count (less than once in two months)

I know I might not be an administrator or anything, but I more agree with mathisfun on this (just as a third party opinion I guess). Everytime you delete a member for "inactivity" it discourages and/or frustrates those who actually do plan on doing something eventually, on top of that, it can lead other potential people who are interested in something like this forum away. I myself was inactive for, I'm pretty sure for over 6 months, and I think I had less then 5 posts. Now if I came back and found out my account was deleted, I as a normal member would be pretty annoyed. I don't know if I really made my point that clear, and possibly said more arguable things, but I am only trying to say overall when websites, forums, etc. do things like that, they in turn lose potential members, and was ... at least trying to explain reasons for this, hope I didn't do that bad of a job...
