He is a tenth grader student and I am a ninth grader. The only time we can meet each other is the break. I was busy with Nky for a while and then when I went to his room, he wasn't there.

No, it is a difficult book. The fault is with the author. He starts by being generous, particularly the first two chapters. After that he goes into the usual mathematician mode of trying to impress his peers and baffle us.
