That is too bad. I hope you will someday see them. Anyway, he tells him that the rules of this so called reality are like the rules of any program. Some can be bent, some can be altered and some can be broken!

I see your point. I believe in it because I could control my dream - astral project (I know the world would think I'm crazy)

Re: Wish I don't have to go to school

It is only difficult to prove scientifically, that does not mean it is false, it just means science is not yet a good enough tool to understand all things.

If we continue to live in a illusion we will never ever understand. Because all we know is about this illusion. Not the one outside of it.

If you abide by the rules of the matrix then you are forever stuck in the illusion.

I wish I could get homeschooled, I learnt a lot during this 2 weeks holiday. More than what my teacher taught me in a year. But what do you meant by get 100%? I want to graduate early too, but I might need to get SAT my parents wants me to study in America.

Well, I don't think you can prove that you already know the material beyond your current level unless you are getting perfect marks right now.

And also what are you learning right now? What would you suggest me to do if I want to learn calculus and physics? (Two of these classes won't be taught until I'm 16 which is 2 more years).

Right now I am taking a variety of courses such as Supersymmetric Quantum Field Theories, Advanced topics in General Relativity, Astrophysics 2 etc.

For calculus, I would recommend Spivak's Calculus - arguably the most rigorous and best calculus textbook out there (also being used by most top 25 universities - or Apostol or Courant).

For physics, I would recommend learning some calculus first (it shouldn't take too long) and then tackling calculus-based physics. I wouldn't recommend algebra-based physics at all. After you learn calculus, don't settle for books like Halliday & Resnick.

Instead, for classical mechanics use Kleppner & Kolenkow (that is a tough book, but if you want even more difficult problems than you can use Morin). For electricity and magnetism you can use Purcell and for Quantum Mechanics Ballentine or Griffiths is usually the best way to start.

Re: Wish I don't have to go to school

You're welcome.

By the way, in order to graduate, don't you (I had to) have to take all the courses early by taking them online/night school/summer school? If so, then you will have to learn the other subjects that you don't like anyway.

How do you graduate early in your country?

Re: Wish I don't have to go to school

We can't that's the reason why I hate my country and also, I might not be able to get in a university (in my country) if I failed the national language (which I'm very bad in) I really have no idea on how I could graduate early. The education system is my country is messed up. I do wish I could graduate early but I might not because if I failed any of the core subjects like History, Geography, Malay and Moral (These four subjects are in Malay) I will not be accepted to an university. And I won't be able to take SAT and whatnot. In short : My country is messed up. Don't know what should I do.

Re: Wish I don't have to go to school

It is the same everywhere. Either you are a child prodigy with a huge IQ or you have to complete all the courses to graduate early. Can you take those courses online, through summer school etc?

Re: Wish I don't have to go to school

I can take it online, my parents allowed me to but I don't know where offers online courses, and we don't have summer school in my country. I couldn't managed to get a D for all the subjects in Malay, I don't know what I should do and I'm not a child prodigy - I wish I am...

Re: Wish I don't have to go to school

Well, maybe you should search it online or ask your teacher at school where you can take courses online.

I didn't have motivation for subjects like Geography and History and English either, but than I thought the quicker I get them done online or through other methods, the faster I can go to university. Maybe if you think like that, you may be able to complete them quickly as well.

Re: Wish I don't have to go to school

I love the UK's geography and history. I just don't like the history of the country I'm staying in right now because it's totally a different world to me and it's hard to understand too.

I dislike any type of history, unless it is science related.

I am guessing you have 3 years of high school left?

Is homeschooling an option for you?

My parents asked my school before but they said one of my parents need to have a degree in education, it's not an option.

Re: Wish I don't have to go to school

Can you hire a tutor to homeschool you instead? Or can you take extra classes at school so you can graduate maybe an year or two early?

No. One of my parents need to have a degree in education even if we hire a tutor, and in this country, there's no such thing as extra classes. They don't have them.

Re: Wish I don't have to go to school

That's quite odd.

Are their any "challenge" exams (like in the US) where you can take an exam to show that you have the knowledge required for the course so you don't have to take it in regular school?

If no, then your only option is to inquire about online classes and hope it's doable. Otherwise, I guess you will have to switch countries (unlikely) or just spend the four years in secondary school being bored.

Re: Wish I don't have to go to school

It's might be likely actually. I have dual nationality, but my parents have to work here. I might live with my aunt of something. I might look up about the challenge exam. Or make myself known like what that Jamie Edwards bloke did, build a nuclear reactor of some sort.

Re: Wish I don't have to go to school

Oh, well than you have a few options.

Of course, there may be a problem of maturity as if it works out you will likely be around 15 when you attend university.

Re: Wish I don't have to go to school

But a 15 year old could be more mature than a 20 year old. As far as I'm concerned, I'm more mature than the government here http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/malaysia/article/malays-will-lose-identity-if-maths-and-science-are-taught-in-english-say-is read that and you will now how education work in this place.

xD

How does one lose their identity?

But yes, it is definitely true that you will be mature enough when you go to university.

Re: Wish I don't have to go to school

Well. They think maths and science could be taught in Malay, but they don't even have a word for science, most of the words in maths and science are translated from English. What's the point of teaching maths and science in Malay when they just translate the word? Wouldn't that lose their identities? I don't understand what the people here think.
