That is not a number. That is an equation. What is b in degrees?

### Re: Logical question s

You mean b is 18 degrees. b and B are not the same things in math. Now what is angle c equal to?

### Re: Logical question s

We are almost done:

Question 6
In triangle abc the angle a is three times the size of that at b and half the size of the angle at c. what is the angle at A???

From the question: what is the angle at c in degrees?

All that does is correctly state the question but it was not necessary.

From the question: what is the angle at C in degrees?

### Re: Logical question s

By changing the question notation you have confused yourself. I am asking you now in terms of the new notation. We have:

In triangle ABC,the angle at A is three times the size of that at B and half the size of the angle at C.What is angle at A???
Options are
30deg
36 deg
54deg
60deg

Remember, we already have the answer that A = 54 degrees, we are checking to see if that is correct.

A = 54 degrees
B = 18 degrees

C equals what?

### Re: Logical question s

So we have A = 54 , B = 18, C = 108 and 54 + 18 + 108 = 180 so we know our answer is correct.

### Re: Logical question s

Yes, to check you go back to the question and see if you answered it.

Why small a and capital A is not equal????

Capital letters usually mean different things in math by convention. Which is a set of rules people agree upon.

### Re: Logical question s

Question 5 is not too hard either.

How many hours are there in half of a third of a quarter of a day?

One way to solve is by working from the inside out. There are other ways too.

There are 24 hours in a day and 1 / 4 of that is 6. Can you do the next step?
