That is very good. If you have some spare time go here:

What can we do now?

Ok. Would add (1) to be 45678931.
= forty five million six hundred and seventy eight thousand nine hundred thirty one.
Correct?

### Re: Pronouncing figures in words.

Yep! Remember you do not usually have to deal with numbers that are much bigger than that. For instance:

93326215443944152681699238856266700490715968264381621468592963895217599993229915608941463976156518286253697920827223758251185210916864000000000000000000000000

Speaking that out loud would just not be practical.

The next column is the hundreds of millions column, so how is 245,678,931 pronounced?

### Re: Pronouncing figures in words.

That is correct.

The column is called billions and it is the next one after hundreds of millions. What funny names these columns have... Imagine going through life called "hundreds of millions." Boss to "hundreds of millions," if you are late one more time "hundreds of millions," I am going to can you like a tuna.

1,234,567,890 This one will be harder. Just remember the names of the columns and you will get it.

### Re: Pronouncing figures in words.

Ok. But I thinking it should be 99 999 so that it is easily pronounced.
But would be impossible to pronounce if it is grouped 999 999.
