Hi anonimnystefy,

Thanks for your help, but i want to correct you that, the sec x no equal to 1/sin x its equal to 1/cos x.

A curve

meets x-axis at A, find the x-coordinate of A, leave your answer in pi form.

Answer : x = pi/12

Please show me how to solve this, thanks.

1. prove that

    hence, find all the angles between 0 and pi for which

2. The expresson

, make X the subjust and hence integrate with respect to y.

thanks

For Q1. is there a restriction such as A + B + C = 2PI  ?

Bob

Thanks,
A, B, and C are angles of triangle ABC.

Prove the following.
1. cotAcotB + cotAcotC + cotBcotC = 1

Integration problem

2. Given Integrate of (e^2x - e^-2x)/(e^2x + e^-2x)=1/2 ln(e^2x+e^2x)

Find integration of (e^2x)/(e^2x + e^-2x)

Thanks very much.

hi bob bundy,

thanks for you help too.

sorry i forgot the bracket in my calculation.

ARCCOS(-2/3) = 2.3005

so, 2y + 4 = pi +2.3005, pi - 2.3005, 2pi + (pi +2.3005), 2pi - (pi -2.3005)
                = 5.442, 0.841, 11.73, 5.442
            2y = 5.442-4, 0.841-4, 11.73-4, 5.442 - 4

              y = 0.721, -1.57, 3.865, 0.721

bob bundy, can help me check my working above, i still can not get the answer correct.
can explain to me in more details for this question, thanks very much.

1. how to slove

for
, i know how to do, but can not get the answer right. so please help.

my working:

2y +4 = cos^-1(-2/3)
           = 0.841
           = pi +0.841, pi - 0.841, 2pi + (pi +0.841), 2pi - (pi +0.841)
           =   3.98 , 2.30,...

y= (3.98 -4)/2

is my working correct?

answer: y = 2.29, 3.13, 5.43, 6.27

2. (a) find the equation of the tangent to the curve

at the point A (1,1). (b) and if the tangent meets the curve at another point B, find the coordinates of B.

i found the answer for part (a)

. how to find the part (b), thanks!
