Why exactly does
, and not 0, or something else?List any shortcuts you've discovered:P:
Here's a simple one,
I just remembered back to when I had a discussion with a friend in 5th grade about the multiples of 11, and noticed that whenever a two digit number was multiplied by it, the answer was the sum of the two digits, whose result was placed in between them.
e.g
11*54=594 as 5+4 = 9
11*23=253 as 2+3 = 5
This mostly useless little novelty can work fast and efficiently as long as the digits don't add to 10 or more, in which case you're equally better off doing normal multiplication.
lol Devante, I was just about to resubmit my post when u posted a reply (it looks better without the edit notes underneath every once in a while). (can't seem to stop editing).
ANYWAYS:
The hot
oh bother... looks like I've gone and edited this post too
O_O

I see your point... ... ...
What kin I Doe!?
Should i change it? (but then I'll dissapoint Zach )
YAY THIS IS MY 100th POST w00tw00t
thanks saudi_boy, that's quite clear and a lot simpler than my explanation
Yeah it sounds good, I know nearly nothing about maths history.
Hmm o_O how do you do the ones with massive powers?
Hehe, thanks, I try to be as active as I can; the more I am the more I will learn
hi which one of the 'x'es are pronumerals and which are multiplication signs?
Hi there salaam, welcome to the forums, I hope you enjoy your time
Well, I've just tried it, and I've got to say it's pretty extraordinary. Although some of the animations might look a bit weird, overall it blends well into the music.
Most of these animation, I find, are very fast paced and bright (at times a little dizzying), so milkdrop is probably more suited to loud or energetic music. But yeh, you should at least try it.
YES IT IS
Hmmm seems pretty simple, is that all there is to know about 'i'?
Well, it can be factorised into
I have no idea what I'm talking about:
My belief is that when criminals are charged for their crimes, it is not really 'themselves' who are charged with the crime, but the atoms, dark matter and dark energy which inhabit their bodies. It brings forth the debate of whether or not we are ultimately in the hands of destiny; whether or not we are actors playing out an epic script.
The above debate can, of course, only exist if everything is governed by laws and principles.
I believe that the subatomic world is not random, but just neglected out of ignorance, because if the universe is random, then what is everything and why did it become?
The Butterfly Effect should have an effect on the universe, even if it takes an outrageous amount of time. However, due to the contributions of an infinite number of other entities to the changes in the universe, the overall change the Butterfly Effect will produce will be in the form of a ratio, 1 Butterfly : The Rest of the Universe
So, in my opinion, there are two major routes, the one down randomness, and the one down absolute avenue. The advantage of randomness is that people have souls, and are not purely governed by the laws of physics. The upside to clarity is that although we may not be ourselves (have souls, so to speak), there is a greater chance that we may just have a purpose in a larger picture or be part of a greater whole.
I haven't actually learnt anything about the term 'i' in class, but I know how to simplify surds, and that i = √(-1), so can you tell me if i've got the right idea with these?
and
Whoa, they introduced a new day into the calendar?
Hi everyone, I have this history project coming up, and I have to write these empathetic diary entries. Anyway, I need to know what day of the week was:
19th of February, 1942
Thx please tell me how to do this, I'm so bad at aligning days to dates.:/
