Hence, as

Is that right?

Actually I just figured out how to prove, I used

, divided through by tan, then took the limit of cos.

But I would be happy if you could tell me what the L'Hopital is? smile

Show that

It said as a hint to use the same proof but for sine to help, but I'm not really sure how to do that...

Hmmm could you use Euclid's Algorism to find all the factors quickly?

#905 Re: Help Me ! » x^2 < 2 » 2007-07-07 04:35:51

Thanks... so the sign is flipped for the negative root so that x remains within the boundaries

What's the point of the story if everyone dies?

It will highlight the risks associated with running an unlawful business, whether it is a non-profit organisation or not.

I've recently noticed some lag in the forums. It's not related to internet speeds, but rather page updating.

One time I was browsing and saw new posts, but when I clicked 'Show new posts since last visit', it had not yet been updated (and this is about 1 hour after the new posts).

Another time, in fact just now, the blue square showed next to the 'Help me' forum, and when I clicked 'Show new posts' it had the link to the new post (by nelson12), but when I clicked directly on 'Help me' from the main forum page, there were no new posts!

EDIT: This post did not even show up when I posted it! I had to go to my profile and click 'show all posts' to even redirect myself back here!

Hey Mathsisfun can you please add some more variations to this? It's so much fun! I'd like to propose a mixed +-÷× game, and also some variations for large numbers (u know cuz then its more about maths than reactions). That would be awesome!

Also for some reason it hasn't added my scores what

Ok, I just thought that ±x + ±x = 0 implied that either

x + x = 0 or -x -x = 0
