Find the area of the definite integral
∫ (with 3 on top and 0 on bottom) 2/3x dx
Really, I greatly enjoy complex analysis. But the wikipedia page just blew me away.
Hello and welcome to the forum.
I have an ereader but scarcely use it. I prefer books (any print material) but I do sometimes read electronically.
They should give the book for no cost to every household. That way everyone has access to this invaluable teaching resource.

Anyways, it is a great book which requires special attention and popularity. It is what taught me calculus the first time 3 years ago.
There however there is an issue with formatting or expressions.
It is available in many libraries.

The original book is 103 years old though... Yet I believe it is the more comprehendable introductory calculuss book I have ever had the pleasure to read.
So are you familiar with the idea of a limit? Anyways, there is this great book "Calculus Made Easy". It is small and is 60 years old (but was recently renovated by Martin several years back). It is great and teaches even the chain rule with ease.
Have you done much on limits and differentiation yet?
Agnishom, Calculus (the fundamentals anyways) is not too arduous with the correct resources. There are numerous online resources which make learning Calc easy at any age (by the way, the MIF calculus tutorials are great). Anyways, as far as I know, wxMaxima can be used for many other things not involving calculus.
It was a joke
Keep the jokes clean please or they will be extracted.
True, but science is thebasis of life. I agree that both are equally important and without one of them we can not do. As least some of us.
Really, science is more important to me then maths. I want to keep as much of a balance as I can.
I am going the same way essentially. Focusing too much on maths and leaving the sciences behind.
Essentially, everyday I see children from school running with no bright future available.
Excel, with the great formatting skills of phronister, can become like that.
I have heard of William. There is no mention of Jerry though... Funny thing is, Maxima and similar CAS' are so unpopular.
Agreed. However, what about the developers? Have they not mastered computational maths?
That is the thing. 95% or probably more do not have the intuition.
Mathematics is not too complicated if you have the intuition and good work ethics.
