Michael is paid $900.00 every two weeks.  His monthly bills, payable on the first of the month are:
Rent    $500
Elec        80
Heat        65
Car        300
Insurance 70
Gas       80

Credit Cards 200

Given Michael’s total expenses how much money is available for weekly leisure spending

Re: word problem help

Adding all that up gives a monthly bill of $1445. If we take a month to be four weeks, then he gets paid 900x2 = $1800 per month, which means he has $355 to spend each month.

Divide by 4 to get $88.75, the spending amount per week.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.
