Steps involved in Solving the differential Equations.

This looks like an eigenvalue-eigenfunction problem, but those usually have boundary conditions imposed on them.

In any case, I'm assuming lambda to be a positive real number, in which case you solve this the same as any other 2nd order differential equation with constant coefficients:

Solve for r, then use the proper form for the solution.


"In the real world, this would be a problem.  But in mathematics, we can just define a place where this problem doesn't exist.  So we'll go ahead and do that now..."
