Help with triangles.

The question asks me, ''Find the length of the missing side, X'' then it shows two triangle's. Same shape, different sizes.

The SMALL triangle has 8 in, and 22 in, the BIG one has 25 in, and X on one side. I really need help on this one. Im a   6th Grader.  Sorry for my bad quality drawings of triangles.

Re: Help with triangles.

Same shape, different triangles : I guess you mean similar triangles.

If they are similar triangles, and the lengths given are those of the corresponding sides,

Please try to make the questions clearer.

PS:- Upper case is usually used to denote points and lower case to denote lengths of sides.
