How do I work out Density??

Sorry I have just had a total blank and cannot remember how on earth to work out Denstiy!!

The question I have been given is...

The area of the cross section of the prisim is 60cm² The length of the prisim is 24cm.
The prisim is made from wood. The prisim has a mass of 648g. Work out the density of the wood.

dunno

Thank you!

Re: How do I work out Density??

Density is mass per unit volume, so you need to know the volume of the prism which is given by

60x24 = 1440cm³

the density is then

648/1440 = 0.45 gcm-¹
