Algebra confusion!!!

I normally understand algebra, but am currently stuck on one question.

Given that a^p=5 and a^q=9, determine the numerical value for a^(2p-1/2q)

Could someone walk me through it please?

Now work out the two parts of the fraction separately, and see what you get.
