AREA PROBLEMS [hard]

Floor tiles measure 300mm by 300mm. How many would be needed to cover a floor measuring 2.4m by 3.6m?

i checked the answer and its "96" im assuming its in metres, but my previous answers were nothing close to the answer sad

Re: AREA PROBLEMS [hard]

Hi waven;

This is how the carpet stores do it. 2.4 m is 8 of them across. 3.6 m is 12 of them down.

8 * 12 = 96 tiles

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.
