Posting Guidelines:

Hi;

This thread is for solving math problems by using computers. You may use Sage, Mathematica, Maple, Mupad, Maxima, Derive, a spreadsheet, Geogebra, Geometers Sketchpad or any other program.

It is for interesting problems solved by Computer Algebra Systems.

What it is not for is questions like this:

How do you convert binary to decimal?
What is newtons iteration?
How do I code this for my game? Why won't my Java code work?
How do you prove this?
How does minimax search work.

Those belong in Help Me or Coders Corner. If you have something that fits the topic guidelines then please start a new topic right in here.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
I have the result, but I do not yet know how to get it.
All physicists, and a good many quite respectable mathematicians are contemptuous about proof.
