geometry

its a right triangle hypotnuse 11in and one leg is 6in how do i find the other leg

Welcome to the forum.

Looking at the drawing we see we need to solve for x. To do that we use the pythagorean theorem.

Subtract 36 from both sides.

Take the square root of both sides.

So the other leg is √(85) inches long.
