Need Help with an integration Problem
Hi all,
Just wondering if there's anyone out there who can help me solve the following problem, been stuck with trying to solve it
∫ x^(-3/2) e^(-x/2) dx

Hi;
That integral does not have an answer in terms of elementary functions. But rather the answer involves the error function.
Most integrals can not be done in terms of elementary functions. We could use integration by parts but it would yield an infinite series probably asymptotic.
Or you could take it down to Wolfram and get
