I have absolutely no experience with programming, but I want to start. Any advice on what to start on and how to start?

When ever I see a brand new new math problem, I want to solve it. Then I want to burn it. Then I want to rebuild it in a new, more streamlined way.

What do you have access to, what languages, programs, etc?

Ok. Thank you. I'll look at it.

I like codeacademy

'And fun? If maths is fun, then getting a tooth extraction is fun. A viral infection is fun. Rabies shots are fun.'

'God exists because Mathematics is consistent, and the devil exists because we cannot prove it'

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Some people like Python to start with.

If you want to go with python, there are whole courses teaching python and computer science in general on edx.org from MIT

https://www.edx.org/course/mitx/mitx-6-00-1x-introduction-computer-1498#.U2Fbu_ldXjk

You can also use the python course on MIT OpenCourseware, but the edx.org one has much more material.

You can also use the Harvard and IIT courses
