permutation

I have 52 players in a golf tournament.  I would like to ensure that nobody plays with the same player twice. It's a four-round tournament, with 13 foursomes in each round.

Is there a grid or some easy way to do this?

Re: permutation

Hi;

These are progressive dinner or social golfer problems. Some have solutions, some do not. They are done by computer mostly.

Re: permutation

Hi;

Sorry for the delay. As far as I can understand it you only want 4 rounds that means each will only get to play 12 different players. I hope this will suffice. You did not mention if you wanted the groups of 13 to stay together.

Number your players from 1 to 52. As i did not write this arrangement please verify it for correctness.
