Translations

Hello!!! I really need help learning about translations. Say you have this problem:

Point M(4,3) is translated according to the rule (x,y)-->(x+2,y-5). What are the coordiniates of point M?

Could someone solve this for me and tell what the answer is and why?

Point M(4,3) is translated according to the rule (x,y)-->(x+2,y-5). What are the coordiniates of point M?

That means that 4 becomes x+2 = 6 and 3 becomes y-5 = 3-5 = -2.  So the new coordinates of M are (6,-2)

Strictly (if that's exactly how the question is worded) the answer for the coordinates of M is (4,3).  But I assume they wanted what it becomes after the translation.
