Differential Equation

Hi guys I'm trying to understand these multiple differential equations and their solutions for an exam. If it's okay, I posted the solution to the example and I have a question: "In the example it says "Thus,

, and so
and
How did he use the two equations to reach the conclusion that
  ? I feel like I'm missing something obvious, and I feel so dumb. Anyways, thanks guys so much for your help, any input would be appreciated.

Here's the problem (sorry it cut off text in one of the pictures, luckily I'm only concerned with the solution)

Re: Differential Equation

Hi;

How did he use the two equations to reach the conclusion

Divide the first equation by the second one.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.
