how to defeat time while study a book?

Hi, sorry for my question it's not about math topic but I believe only here I can find the best answer

my question is how to defeat time while study a book ? for example if I studied a chapter with 10 examples  and solved and understated  only 3 examples but stopped in the rest of 7 examples remaining
can I continue to the next chapter or I must stop until I solve the rest examples? (note that lets assume I gave only 2 weeks for the book)
please it's really important for me

There's no easy answer to this.  You need to understand the topic, and, if you skip some examples, you may be left not really understanding.  But I have sometimes discovered that looking at the next chapter helps to make sense of the earlier ones.
