Trigonometry Equation

Hi Folks, could someone please assist with this equation: 2 (9’–4’) TAN (47.5 degrees) = 10.9 . So, 2 x (5) = 10, TAN(47.5) = 0.39. So, I end up with 3.94. Would welcome some assistance. Cheers

Re: Trigonometry Equation

You are using radians not degrees. That is why you are getting the wrong result. The problem states degrees not radians. Using radians is fine but you must convert degrees to radians.

If you use that value in radian mode you will get the correct answer.
