Describe Set of All Points

Plot the points (0, 3), (1, 3), (-2, 3), (5, 3), and (-4, 3).
Describe the set of all points in the form (x, 3), where x is a real number.

Just identify the x values that give y = 3

Why can't the question simply be stated the way you said it.

So, x = 0, 1, -2, 5, and -4.
