My daughter is working on a math packet for school and this problem looks more like a typo to me because I can't remember how one would figure it out. Here it is:
"In one class, 46% of the students are girls, and 58% of the students are boys. How many girls and how many boys does this represent?"
Can you understand my confusion? Any help would be appreciated.

Firstly, we don't know how many children there are, only that 46% are female and 58% are male, which, secondly, is impossible. You can't have 104% percent of children.
