Calculating Salary where Pay Includes Decimals

Exercises on Calculating Salary where Pay Includes Decimals

The Clothes store at the mall has five employees (Devin, Abigail, Emily, Kevin, and Rebecca). This week they worked 42, 23, 46, 48, and 28 hours. The employees at the Clothes store are paid by the hour. Each employee is paid at a different hourly rate ($19.25, $16.60, $18.80, $7.45, and $11.75).

Figure out how many hours each employee worked this week. Also, determine each employee's hourly pay.

1. This week, Devin worked the most number of hours.

2. Rebecca earns the most amount of money per hour.

3. Rebecca earned $808.50 this week.

4. Abigail earns less than $16.60 per hour.

5. The employee that worked twenty-eight hours this week, worked forty-two hours last week. Last week, the employee earned $164.50 more than the amount the employee earned this week.

6. Devin had the largest paycheck for the week.

7. Emily worked more than twenty-eight hours this week.

8. Kevin worked more than twenty-three hours this week.
