i need help

Write the first three of an artithmetic sequence whose first term is -8 and whose common difference is 4.

Well, you know the first term because you're given it.
The common difference is just the difference between each term. So, the first term is that much away from the second term, the second term is that much away from the third term and so on.

The first term is -8, because we are told it.
The second term is 4 away from the first term, so it is -8+4 = -4.
Similarly, the third term is -4+4 = 0.

So the first three terms in the sequence are -8, -4, 0.
