2x - 3y=-6
am I right in thinking that it would be f(x) = 3/2x-6

Re: rewrite as function of x Help!

the key to remember, is, whatever you do to one side, do to the other:

or as a function

Re: rewrite as function of x Help!

My answers include f(x)=2/3x+2; f(x)= 3/2x-3; f(x)=3/2x-6; and f(x)=2/3x+6 so would my answer then be f(x)=2/3x+2?

Re: rewrite as function of x Help!

None of those options are right. The correct answer is f(x) = -2/3x - 2.

It's possible that it may have been factorised and be written as -(2/3x + 2) in your solution.

Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

Re: rewrite as function of x Help!

don't know what I gave you is all the info I received it says rewrite the equation 2x - 3y = -6 as a function of x that is what I was trying to do. does this help as that is all that I have.
