solve this please
y-9=1/2(x+2)
What exactly would you like solved? Solve for y or x?

Judging by his other topic, I'd guess that toby wants this equation rearranged into y = mx+c form.
y-9 = 1/2(x+2)
Expand the brackets: y-9 = 1/2x + 1
Add 9 to both sides: y = 1/2x + 10
And there's your answer.
Why did the vector cross the road?
It wanted to be normal.

y-9=1/2(x+2)
Do you mean:
I suspect the first one is correct because I would have written the second one as (x+2)/2 if I wasn't using latex.
