I missed a lesson and need help with explanation

I missed a lesson that was about Differential Calculus > Limits

Can someone please explain because I have no idea about it. I know the easier way by the derivative rule but I need to know how to do this way.

Some of the questions are:

Evaluate

lim     (3x)
x->3

lim    (x² -2x+1)
x->-2

lim      (1 + h)з - 1
-         -------------
h->0          h

Thanks in advance, I miy have some more questions later.
