each half is called 1/2.
Then what is the reciprocal of 2?
Answer: 1/2
And what is the reciprocal of 1/2?
Answer: 2

If a blueberry pie has 4 pieces, and
each quarter is called 1/4.
What is reciprocal of 4?
Answer: 1/4
What is reciprocal of 1/4?
Answer: 4
other Answer: 4/1  , same thing.

Re: Problem over here!

There are 2 numbers.
One is 1.1, the other is 0.9
They are almost reciprocals, but not exactly.
Why?
Because 1.1 is above 1, and 0.9 is below 1.
But the 1.1 has to get bigger to 1.1111(11...)
Or the 0.9 has to get bigger to 0.90909(09...)
But if they both get bigger, then they are
still not exactly reciprocals, only one of them
has to get bigger to fix them if
you start with 1.1 and 0.9.
1.1 is 1 + 0.1 and
0.9 is 1 - 0.1
But they are not reciprocals,
but they are almost reciprocals.

Now 5/16 is the reciprocal of 16/5
and 27/22 and 22/27 are reciprocals.

Also  1 is the reciprocal of itself, just 1.
Because 1 times 1 is 1.

But 2 divided by 2 is 1,
so 2 and 1/2 are reciprocals.

And 2/3 divided by 2/3 is 1,
so 2/3 and 3/2 are reciprocals.

And 3/4 times 4/3 is 12/12 which is 1,
so 3/4 and 4/3 are reciprocals.

Reciprocals come in pairs, they bounce back and forth
above and below 1, if they are both above zero.

If you have 6 gumballs, and you give
3 away to Tammy, then you have 1/2
of what you started with.  But the
reciprocal of 1/2 is 2/1 or just 2.
So Tammy's 3 gumballs times 2
gets you back to 6 again.

times means multiply
