trig simplification

A chute for unloading a transport plane has the side-view shown by

i) Find the equation for the inverse: [COMPLETED]

ii) Engineers are modelling a new design for the chute: [UNCOMPLETED]

Express the rule for this curve in the form:

I can't for the life of me see how I can simplify
