How to multiply very large numbers?

Hi everyone, I just joined this forum.  I would like to know an easy way to multiply very large numbers. For example:  365,365,365,365,365  X  365,365,365,365,365  .  Many thanks.     theservant

Re: How to multiply very large numbers?

Hi theservant;

If you mean in your head then:

Start with numbers like 48 * 52 to learn. Eventually you can move up to 3 by 2 or even 3 by 3 multiplication, such as 143 *117. The methods of ayurvedic math can assist and even increase your abilities. This little video is interesting if you can get past the awful trailer.

There are many pages on the web to help you. Unless you are autistic, I would say use a computer for 365,365,365,365,365  X  365,365,365,365,365.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.
