Hi jac;

I like 17 for the next one. You have a group of 3 going up by 1 then it jumps by 11 so you get another group of 3 going up by one. Sort of like this:

2,3,4    15,16,17    28,29,30    41,42,43 ...

That isn't the right answer just my interpretation. And a weird one at that. Truth is those type of questions do not have an answer in the mathematical sense.

Like Bobbym said, there could be other interpretations of this series.

For example it could be a group of 3 going up by 1 and then squaring the last number minus 1.

So 2,3,4
15,16,17
288,289,290
84099, 84100,84101
