I was trying to solve problem no 1 and 2 of section 3.4 of the book "Principal of applied mathematics" by James P Kenner.
But i am stuck with that. Can anyone help me?

Re: spectral theory for compact operator

Hi thandu3;

How about posting the problems. I couldn't even get to page 130.

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.
