Averages

I have several couple averages  I need help with please.

1.    If a person  who works as a casual has a wage of  $655.58 in a period of 28 days and has only worked 32 hours how would i work that out the average please?

2.   If a person works an earns $3092.53 over 112 days  but only worked  124 hours how do i work that out average please?

Or would i have to base the average on a yearly time frame.  But then i have to consider that this person would not work nor get paid leave.  The unpad leave would be 12 weeks of no work or pay.

So what would be the average pay per week for that person?

Hope you can help    dunno

Thanks heaps    dizzy

Re: Averages

I would consider that in one day a person works for 8 hours.

So first for the first question convert the number of days to hours. 28days * 8 hours = 224 hours.

Now he earned $655.58 in 224 hours. So his hourly wage is $655.58/224h = $2.93/h
And he only worked 32 hours so his wage should be 32h * $2.93/h = $93.65

Is this what you want? Or did you mean that in those 28 days he only worked 32 hours?
If thats the case take the wage and divide by 32 hours and that should be you 'average' or hourly wage.

do the same thing for the second question.
