Omg Surds....

hi, i have surds problem and this is what i did but i got it wrong and i have no idea where, so this is as far as i could go

You are right, just divide top and bottom by 5 and you get the textbook answer. smile

Hi waven;

All your steps are correct and as John points out division of the numerator and denominator by 5 results in the book answer. I have no idea why you got it wrong unless your teacher wanted you to use a specific method and you didn't.

All the steps are correct, but if the question was to simplify it then it's understandably not the right answer.
