Re: gp

I dont know .. The question is given like this

If the ratio between first three terms and first six terms of GP is 125 : 152. Find the common ratio.

May be that SUM OF must be added... But it is not given in the book..

Re: gp

There Are Two Formulas To Find Sn In Gp

One , To Be Used When r>1 ,

Another, When r <1

Since We Dont Know R Here, How To Use This ??? This Formula Is To Be Used When r<1???? Why Did We Use This ??? Please Explain???

Hi!!
the formula for r<1 is used for Sum of Terms till Infinity!
it cannot be used here because the no. of terms is fixed (3 and 5) here!
the formula

can be used for both r>1 and r<1.
whereas
can only be used for r<1 and Sum to Infinity (not for 3 terms or 5 terms)   shame !!!

Re: gp

We came to know of the terms at the end , after solving..

At first , why must we use that one ??

i mean just by looking at the question , how can we come to know which formula has to be used?

Read the Question once again...

As the No. of Terms is Specified, we Can't Use the formula for Sum to Infinity!!! neutral
