Thats cool! Well don't feel bad, I took two years worth of Japanese classes this year, I have had an A all year so far, and my grammer is still very very limited...

School training is almost garbage. You need to talk to some people, who are Japanese. Then you will learn.

My grandma is Japanese. My mother was born there too and they all moved here when she was tiny still. My grandfather was american though.
I would talk to her.. but unfortunately, on that side of my family, it feels like the love you recieve is equivilant to how you are doing in your education. You get what I mean?

Not exactly, your education is of paramount importance. Take advantage of it. You will regret every mistake made at your age later.

Yes I know and I care about school.
What I meant was stis: to my grandma, if you aren't doing well in school then you aren't worth the time of day.
The only contact she makes with me are through holiday cards and thats just to be polite.
I am doing much better in school but it she wouldn't know that because she hasn't bothered talking to me in like a year.

I know that is hard and I don't know all the facts. I am not going to say I know how you or your grandma feels. Dealing with relatives can be a great problem. One you will never solve. How about talking to her?

I have tried reaching out to her. More than once.
Last time, I did not to long ago, actually. I even tried to tell her I was doing better and I was going to offer to send her copies of my report cards (shes not too big on email) and she wasn't interested at all.  In fact, her tone of voice sounded really annoyed. When I asked her questions about how she was doing she would only say"Fine" and wouldn't tell me anything else. She's never been too big on affection or anything. Even when I was little. Its okay though.
And I understand I've messed up in the past and its okay if she wants to be mad at me or whatever.
Maybe it will get better when i am older or something.

Her mother may be Japanese but her father is a very dark african american man.
As for me, my father was italian and my mother was mixed.
So Im a mutt. A strange combination of about 50% Italian 25% Africn American and 25% Japanese.

Yep, a little geography. Italy is shaped like a boot and sicily is at the toe of the boot. I have no idea where Bari is.

Checking Wikipedia it is on the southeastern side of Italy. My grandmother was from there and the rest of my family who are Sicilian had a very derogatory name for people from Bari. I do not know why and as they are all deceased I don't think I ever will.

That's very interesting bobby. I would like to see your descendants in 50 years time! Especially if they moved back to Sicily!
