probability

Hi All,

Two events A and B are independent events. Pr (A/B) = 3/4. Pr (B) = Pr (A' intersect B'). Find Pr(B)?

Any idea?

Re: probability

Hi Macy;

If the two events A and B are independent then,

P(A|B) = P(A) = .75 So you know that P(A) = .75

Now all you have to do is solve:

P(B) = 1 / 5.
