Do not forget sometimes they transpose it and call that the companion matrix.

i also noticed you said this, what do you mean? can you show me an example?

Here is the transpose of the above matrix. Notice the rows become the columns.

Also we were discussing the determinant of a 4 x 4. Here is an interesting little formula for it that I have seen,
