HELP! Fraction

Least to greatest
2/3 – 3/4   < 2/3 x 3/4  < 2/3 ÷ 3/4  < 2/3 + 3/4

Because …
2/3 – 3/4 is less than 0
2/3 + 3/4 is greater than 1
When a number multiply a fraction, the product is less than the number
To interpret division is to multiplicative inverse of the second number, then you will get a number that is greater than 2/3 but less than 1.

Can someone correct it for me ????? or explain more detail ?????wave

Re: HELP! Fraction

Hi;

2/3 – 3/4 is less than 0

Because …
2/3 – 3/4 is less than 0

True.

2/3 + 3/4 is greater than 1

True.

When a number multiply a fraction, the product is less than the number

If the fraction is a proper fraction then True.

To interpret division is to multiplicative inverse of the second number, then you will get a number that is greater than 2/3 but less than 1.

Not always!

2/3 – 3/4   < 2/3 x 3/4  < 2/3 ÷ 3/4  < 2/3 + 3/4

True!

In mathematics, you don't understand things. You just get used to them.
If it ain't broke, fix it until it is.
Always satisfy the Prime Directive of getting the right answer above all else.
