ok so the 2xand the x is ganna give me 3x
and the y is ganna give me 2y
so
3x+2y=3

or is it like this

y-2x=0
x+y=3

2x+2y=6
y-2x=0
2y=6
y=3

#17- y=2x-4
        -4   -4

y-4=2x
-4  -4

y=-2




18. x + y = 2
4y = -4x + 8

problem 17 is incorrect
again,2x-4 is not -2.you didn't make x dissapear.
What you can do is subtract the two equations.
it should be easier that way.

no actually you would get 0=-1x-2.Grom there you can get x.

0 = -2 + -1x

Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right.

Add 'x' to each side of the equation.
0 + x = -2 + -1x + x
Remove the zero:
x = -2 + -1x + x

Combine like terms: -1x + x = 0
x = -2 + 0
x = -2

Simplifying
x = -2

i did number 14 i think i did it correct

#14- 3-x = 2x
           
                 3 + -1x = 2x



Moved all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right.

3 + -1x + -2x = 2x + -2x

-1x + -2x = -3x
3 + -3x = 2x + -2x

2x + -2x = 0
3 + -3x = 0

3 + -3 + -3x = 0 + -3

3 + -3 = 0
0 + -3x = 0 + -3
-3x = 0 + -3

0 + -3 = -3
-3x = -3

Divide each side by '-3'.
x = 1
