why did my teacher say This looks good up to 8(x-1)/-(8x - 1). After that you lost me.??3x+5x=8x
-2-(-6)=-8

8x-8/-(8x-1)

8x-8 factored = 8(x-1)

8(x-1)/-(8x-1) = -1+7/8x-1

Because you got the right answer but your step is wrong.

-2-(-6)=-8 that does not equal -8

The correct step is:

-2 - ( 6 )= -8

i posted this to her and got it correct the rest were correct to thank you soo much i got a 10 smile

[(3x-2)]-[(6-5x)]/-(8x-1) ,

= (8x - 8)/(1-8x)
= 8(x-1)/(1-8x)
