dont you think they  simplified wrong in the 3 step because  the 6y and 3y^2 simplifies to 2 and y 6y divided by 3y gives us 2

yup so in number 16 step 3 is wrong they simplified the 6 to a 1

hey bobbym like i have to simplify this 3x/7  + x/14

i got 6x/14 + x/14 then 6x^2/14 can i simplify that more if i did would it give me 3x^2/7 ???

That is not correct. You are adding. Since the denominators ( bottom ) are the same. You just add the tops together.
