Do you mean a picture underneath your name on the left-hand side of each post?
If you do, that's an avatar, and to get one you click on Profile up the top underneath 'Math Is Fun'. Then, in the 'Profile Menu', click Personality and first on the list you will see 'Avatar Options'. Select your file and then you're done.

Gee, thanks jl (blushes). It seems my sacred duty is to keep the forum actually running. I check the server first thing in the morning, and before bed at night every day. True. But that is all I really do .. keep it available, and hope people use the "space" provided.
I am constantly surprised by the people here - helping out, answering difficult questions, consoling each other, having fun. Something interesting seems to happen every day!
